Petrouchka, Sa Menuda, Tearal and Presto, winners of the Memorial Pepe Estela Regatta

Nine boats retired while heading for the national park of Cabrera, due to the very light wind conditions.

Petrouchka III, owned by Jaime Binimelis, wins the Memorial Pepe Estela regatta, organised by Real Club Náutico de Palma, after 54 miles from Palma to Cabrera and back with 10 h:19 m: and 07 seconds. The crew of Binimelis was the quickest in real time and in elapsed time as well in ORC 1 class, bigger length boats. Nadir, of Pedro Vaquer, and Histolab, of José Juan Torres, finished in second and third place.

The boats in the ORC 2 sailed a course of 54 miles. Sa Menuda, of Antoni Cerdà, wins the race with 12h.27m. and 10seconds, followed by Yabadaba Too, of Martín Aizcorbe, and in third place, Pinyol Vermell, of Félix Comas, whilst a 40 miles course was established for the ORC 3 and 4 classes with only one participant, Tearal of Antoni Pizá, who resisted the very light wind conditions and only boat to cross the finishing line.

The winner of the ORC A2 class (double handed), has been "Presto", owned by Eduardo Horrach, sailing the course of 41 miles in 09h:44m and 1 second. (between Palma and the island of Horadada, with a good one hours difference over the second qualified boat, Falobala, of Bartolomé Català (10:31:10), and over Mestral Fast, of Morell and Manresa (10:22:34), who finished third in elapsed time.

The Memorial Pepe Estela registered 31 competing boats from eight different yacht clubs. But the lack of wind diminished the good participation forcing 9 boats to retire from the race.
