Trofeo Noli, a classic regatta of the RCNP
The Real Club Náutico de Palma holds on Saturday, 26 th of January, the classic regatta, Trofeo Noli, which is held in honour of the naval constructor, Pedro Cardona, member of this yacht club and one of the best ("mestres d`aixa") that the Balearic islands has had.
The event will gather 28 cruising boats in ORC division, to sail a coastal course in the Bay of Palma. The prize giving ceremony will be held after the race in the club's facilities.
This trophy was created in recognition of Pedro Cardona's contribution to the Balearic sailing world. He had a small workshop in Santa Catalina and there produced some of the best wooden Snipes in the seventies, amongst them the Noli saga, one of which he used to sail with his wife, Manoli.
The cruiser fleet of the RCNP face this event , one of the first ones of the competition season, to trim their boats and to enjoy a friedly regatta.
