Airlan-Aermec, KS, Sirpy and Presto win the Trofeo Noli

25 cruising boats raced last saturday for the Trofeo Noli, a regatta organised by the Real Club Náutico de Palma which established a coastal race of 20,6 miles of distance.

Airlan-Aermec won in ORC1 category. Joan Cabrer's boat was the fastest to sail in real and handicap system, in front of Histolab of José Juan Torres winning him on the finish line.

In ORC 2 division a tight fight for the first place took place at the beginning of the regatta, but KS took a lead step by step and Neus Poncel & Matías Gil finally won with ease over Xalest of Antonio Rossinyol who finished second. Fosc of Ferran Muniesa finsehd third.

Sirpy of José Matheu won in ORC 3-4 class, followed by Blaumarina of Pedro Rigo and Admirable owned by Antonio Castell, second and third.

Presto of Eduardo Horrach was the victorious boat in the reduced crew category class.

The Trofeo Noli is a regatta held in recognition to Pedro Cardona's contribution to the evolution of sailing in the Balearic Islands. Some of the best wooden Snipes were built in his small shipyard in Santa Catalina in the 70's.
