Joan Cardona leads in the Laser Radial class after the first competition day at the Pro-Rigging Trophy.

More than 250 sailors have got together this weekend in the Bay of Palma for the Trofeo Pro-Rigging.

Wind from the southeast with 8 knots of intensity for the first competition day. All categories have sailed two races except for the Optis who only sailed one, after cancelling the second race in course.

Joan Cardona (RCNP)leads clearly in Laser Radial, followed by Bartomeu García of the CN Porto Colom is second and Aina Bauzá(RCNP), third.

Great competition in the Laser 4.7 class with 4 tied competitors in the first places. The leader is Antonio Sbert (RCNP), followed by Mario Plomer of the CV Port d’Andratx, and by Antoni Salvà of the RCN Palma and Jordi Julià of Sa Ràpita.

Enric Noguera and Rafael Ferrer (CV Puerto d`Andratx/CM Molinar) lead in the 420 class, four points ahead the second boat, Paula Barceló and Margarita Alba, and five points ahead Xavier Antich and Pedro Terrones both of the CN s’Arenal.

Teodoro Matheu and Pedro Cabrer of the RCN Palma lead clearly in the Snipe class after two races, followed by Kai Dost and Joaquín Enseñat, and Juan Manresa and Enrique Garau if the CM Molinar, who are third.

The Optis have sailed an exciting day with Aina Colom (european champion)and Albert Torres (national champion) who both have sailed to win. In third place, Francisco Comas of the CN Sa Ràpita.
