Joan Cardona wins the Trofeo Illes Balears of the Laser Standard Class
Joan Cardona, sailor of the Real Club Náutico de Palma is the winner of the Copa Illes Balears of Laser Standard organised by the Club de Mar Mallorca. This triumph guarantees Cardona's participation in the next national regattas as part of the Balearic team.
Joan Cardona wins again with 9 first places over his team mate Toni Salva after three racing days in the Bay of Palma. Toni finished second without racing the last day, followed by Philip Marcus Parry from the CV Port Andratx.
The regatta took place with Embat winds from 9 to 12 knots and the Race Committee held all the scheduled races for all the classes.
Pere Ponseti of the Club Náutico Ciutadella wins in the laser 4.7 class the Trofeo Illes Balears. the young sailor of 14 years old overtook the sailor from Ibiza, Víctor Albert who remounted up to the second place and finally finishing in front of the third place by Nestor Diego of the CMSAP.
