Touristic excellence award for the Copa del Rey Mapfre

La Copa del Rey Mapfre, organised by the Real Club Náutico de Palma, has been awarded one of the 22 trophies handed by the President of the Govern Balear, José Ramón Bauzá, during the celebration of the World Tourism day.

The Balearic Government has recognized the quality that the Copa del Rey, created in 1982 and today is the most important cruising regatta in Spain and one of the best in Europe, outstanding the important image it has brought to Baleares as a top quality tourism destiny.

Javier Sanz, president of the RCNP, picked up the prize in a majestic act held at the Consolat de Mar.

Other awarded yachting institutions have been: Associació Provincial d’Empresaris d’Activitats Marítimes, the puerto Alcudiamar, the Copa del Rey de Barcos de Época, the Club Nàutic de Ciutadella, the Club Marítimo de Mahón, the Club Nàutic Santa Eulàlia y el Club Náutico de Ibiza.
