Pinyoll Vermell impedes Petrouchka from winning another Yatess A2

The boat owned by Félix Comas wins with two minutes and 25 seconds over Jaime Binimelis in elapsed time in the ORC 0-2 Class. Falbalá, of Bartolomé Catalá, wins in ORC 3-4. The regatta sailed with 95 miles of distance and set a course from Palma to Cabrera, Dragonera and back to Palma.

Pinyol Vermell, owned and skippered by Félix Comas (Club Nàutic S’Arenal), wins the III Regata Yates A2 in ORC 0-2 class, after 95 tough miles, where Mestral Fast, of Jaume Morell (Real Club Náutico de Palma), finished second, only two seconds after and in third place Petrouchka III, of Jaime Binimelis (RCNP), winner of the first two editions. Although they sailed the best real time in the fleet of 14:42:20, Petrouchka finished third in this edition.

In the ORC 3-4, Falbalá, of Bartomolé Catalá (RCNP), has been the fastest in real and elapsed time, and Blaumaria (RCNP), owned by Pedro Rigo, finished second with two minutes and 26 seconds, followed by the Sirena, of Alejandro Riera León (Club Náutico de Santa Ponça).

The Regata Yatess A2, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Palma and sponsored by the firm that gives name to the regatta, gathered 18 boats out of which only three could not complete the course to be sailed.

Joan Bonet is very pleased with the fleet participation response for this double handed offshore regatta. “We have had the best sailors of this local circuit and have enjoyed a wonderful regatta, which requires more then 15 hours of sailing nonstop, this one has been a successful one for the RCNP.
