The RCNP signs a reciprocal agreement with the Club Naval of Cascais

The Real Club Náutico de Palma and the Clube Naval de Cascais sign a reciprocity agreement s in which the members of both yacht clubs will enjoy the facilities during a period of 30 days per year. This agreement has been signed by the commodores of the RCNP and of the CN of Cascais, Joan Bonet and Patrick Madeiro de Barros.

Bonet explains that this agreement is ment to invite the members to feel as at home in both yacht clubs, the RCNP and in Cascais and viceversa.

Patrick de Barros, also a dragon competitor of the Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofía Iberostar, proved to be honoured with this agreement due to the international prestige the RCNP is well known for. The commodore of Cascais is a Portuguese sailing legend and an Olympic sailor in Los Angeles and Seúl. He is the most veteran competitor of the Princess Sofía Trophy, as he has sailed in 32 editions.



“The success of this event is it has fantastic sailing conditions and there is always a very good atmosphere. The people in Palma like sailing and the RCNP is a very good organiser and we can sail with good climate...what else does a sailor want? ”, says De Barros.
