The Yatess A2 start of the regatta was given with SE winds of 14 knots of intensity. The fleet headed straight for Horadada, where a mark was laid by the organisation. Most of the regatta was sailed with good winds but reaching Capdepera the smaller boats suffered an area of very light winds. The bigger boats proved to be in luck and reached the coast of Cala Rajada before the wind decreased. The smaller boats found they finally had to retire.
The Yatess A2 is a qualifying event for the Copa 3 Clubs la Caixa, is organised by the RCNP and sponsored by the nautical firm Yatess.
The promoter, and sailor of this regatta, Martín Aizcorbe, explains that next year the course will most probably be to head for the Islas Columbretes.
