Tearal wins the Memorial Pep Tomás, 2013

Tearal, owned by Antonio PIzá, is the flamant winner of the regatta Memorial Pep Tomás 2013, organised by the Real Club Náutico de Palma, after sailing a chrono of 27 hours and 49 minutes to complete de 150 nautical miles distance from Palma, to Tagomago, then Cabrera and back to Palma.

Pinyol Vermell, of Félix Comas, ended second and took 26 h and 6 minutes, followed in third place by Blaumarina, of Pedro Rigo, taking 27 h and 55 minutes. The fastest boat to complete the race was Petrouchka III, of Jaime Binimelis, with only 24 hours time, but having suffered after the application of the elapsed time taking him down to the fourth place.

The regatta offered all kind of different winds, first very light in the Bay of Palma, but when the fleet headed from Ibiza to Cabrera, faced an increase in the wind intensity.

The new dates have moved this event closer to the Gaastra PalmaVela, and have improved the total number of entered boats. This course Palma-Tagomago-Cabrera-Palma is the only offshore regata for crew in the ORC balearic circuit.
